1. National Security Day: 4 March

2. Uttarakhand: "Gharaki Paachan Chelic Naam scheme launched

️ IPS officer Kuldeep Singh has been given the additional charge of Director General of CRPF (DG) after the retirement of Chief AP Maheshwari.

✔️ It has been designated as the premier internal security force, whose main operations include theater left-wing extremism-affected states counter-terrorism operations in the Kashmir Valley and counter-terrorism operations in the North-East.

 

5. Khelo India in top position in National Games

✔️ Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir topped the medal table in the second edition of the Khelo India Winter National Games.

✔️ More than 1,000 athletes from 27 states and union territories participated in the event.

 

6. Mumbai City FC: ISL League Football Winners Shield Won

✔️ Mumbai City FC recorded a 2-0 win over ATK Mohun Bagan (ATKMB) at the GMC Stadium in Goa to achieve the ISL League Winners Shield and the prestigious AFC Champions League spot that comes with it.

️ Mumbai and ATKMB finished at level 40 point, but the former claimed first place with a better head-to-head record.

✔️ Mumbai City FC has become the second Indian club to qualify in the group stage of the AFC Champions League.

 

7. New passenger train service started between India and Dhaka

✔️ A new passenger train service is scheduled to begin between Dhaka, Bangladesh and New Jalpaiguri, West Bengal on 26 March 2021 to mark the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Bangladesh

11. Researchers discover "giant luminous shark"

️ Scientists studying sharks from New Zealand have discovered three marine species that glow in the dark

12. Indian Air Force: has to participate in X Desert Flag VI

️ Indian Air Force (IAF) is participating in Exercise Desert Flag - VI held at Al Dhafra Air Base, UAE from 03 to 27 March 2021.

✔️ The purpose of the exercise is to provide operational exposure to the participating forces, to train them to simulate air combat operations in a controlled environment, to provide.

✔️ The X Desert Flag is an annual multi-national large-force planning war exercise conducted by the United Arab Emirates Air Force.

✔️ Air forces from the United Arab Emirates, United States, France, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and Bahrain will also be seen in the exercise

 

13. Cabinet: Agreement between India and France

✔️ The Cabinet has approved a Memorandum of Understanding between India and France in the field of renewable energy cooperation

✔️ It was signed in January 2021.

✔️ It aims to establish a basis for promoting bilateral cooperation in the field of new and renewable energy on the basis of mutual benefit, equality and reciprocity

✔️ It includes technologies related to solar, wind, hydrogen and biomass energy

 

14. Matam Venkata Rao: took over as MD and CEO of Central Bank of India

✔️ Matam Venkata Rao has taken over as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Central Bank of India.

✔️ Rao was till now serving as the Executive Director at Canara Bank

✔️ His appointment will continue for a period of 3 years with effect from March 1, 2021 or until further orders, whichever is earlier

✔️ Rao is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers.

✔️ He is a post-graduate in agriculture from Sri Venkateswara Agricultural College, Tirupati Andhra Pradesh.

 

15. Famous Punjab composer Baldev Sharan Narang died recently
