Shabbir Khandwala: BCCI ACU Chief

NV Ramanna: 48th Chief Justice of India

Maharashtra: First state to inject 8 million vaccines

✔️ Maharashtra has become the first state in India to administer more than eight million doses of anti-Kovid vaccines to beneficiaries since the commencement of the vaccination campaign.

Alfred Ego: Wins 2020 ACM Turing Award

✔️ Laurence Gusman Professor Emeritus of Computer Science, Alfred V. Aho, was awarded the 2020 Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) AM. The Turing Award, informally called the "Nobel Prize for Computing".

✔️ Ego imparted the honor to his long-lasting associate Jeffrey David Ullman.

✔️ Ego and Ullmann started cooperating at Bell Labs in 1967 and their underlying endeavors included creating productive calculations to investigate and decipher programming dialects.

✔️ Even when Ullmann began a career in academia in 1969, while staying at Ego Bell Labs, he continued his collaboration for several decades and shaped the foundations of programming language theory and implementation, as well as algorithmic design and analysis. .

 

Russia: Launch of world's largest underwater neutrino telescope named Baikal-GVD

✔️ Russian scientists have launched the Baikal-GVD (Gigatan volume detector) at Lake Baikal, one of the world's largest underwater neutrino telescopes.

✔️ The development of this telescope, which started in 2016, is motivated by the mission to concentrate in detail the subtle essential particles called neutrinos and potentially decide their sources.

✔️ This telescope is one of the three biggest neutrino locators on the planet, with the South Pole in the Mediterranean Sea and the IceCube in the ANTARES.

 

TRIFED: Village and Digital Connect Drive - Launch "Sankalp se Siddhi"

✔️ The Tribal Co-operative Marketing Federation of India (TRIFED) has launched a village and digital connect drive - Sankalp Se Siddhi.

✔️ It is a 100-day drive that was started on 1 April.

✔️ The campaign involves 150 teams visiting 10 villages, each with TRIFED and state implementing agencies to visit 10 villages in each region.

✔️ The main objective of this campaign is to activate the Van Dhan Vikas Kendras.

✔️ The Ministry of Tribal Affairs said in a statement that in the next 100 days each region would comprise 100 villages and 1500 villages in the country.

✔️ International Boxing Association (AIBA) President Omar Kremlev (Umar Kremlev) has officially announced during his visit to Uzbekistan that the AIBA Men's World Boxing Championships will be held in Tashkent in 2023.

✔️ The city of Tashkent has been awarded the 2023 AIBA Men's World Boxing Championship following a successful bid presentation by the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan.

Malayalam screenwriter P. Balachandran passed away

✔️ Malayalam screenwriter, filmmaker, playwright and actor, P. Balachandran (P Balachandran) has passed away.
