1. Martyrdom Day of Bhagat Singh: 23 March

️ On 23 March 2021, on their martyrdom day, the nation paid tribute to freedom fighters - Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.

5. Telangana government: 30% wage increase for employees

️ Telangana Chief Minister K.K. Chandrasekhar Rao has announced a 30% salary hike for the state government employees and teachers under the salary revision and raised the retirement age from 58 to 61 years.

7. Madhya Pradesh: Sankalp campaign launched

10. Parliament: Constitution Order Bill 2021 passed

️ With the passing of the Rajya Sabha on 22 March 2021, the Parliament passed the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order (Amendment) Bill, 2021.

️ The Bill seeks to revise the list of Scheduled Castes in Tamil Nadu.

️ The bill transforms the Devendrakuthan community into Devendrakul Vellar which includes Devendrakuthan, Kaldi, Kudumban, Pallan, Pannadi and Vathirian.

 

11. Lok Sabha: NCT of Delhi Bill 2021 passed

️ On 22 March 2021, the Lok Sabha passed the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill 2021.

️ The Bill amends the National Capital Territory Act, 1991 of the Government of Delhi.

️ It amends some of the powers and responsibilities of the Legislative Assembly and the Lieutenant Governor.

 

12. Marine Aids to Navigation Bill, 2021 passed

️ The Lok Sabha has passed the Marine AIDS to Navigation Bill, 2021 to replace an old lighthouse law.

️ The Bill seeks to provide a framework for the development, maintenance and management of AIDS to navigation in the country.

️ Its purpose is to repeal the Lighthouse Act, 1927, and the Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lights assign additional power and functions.

 

13. Famous filmmaker and writer Sagar Sarhadi passed away

️ The Famous writer and filmmaker Sagar Sarhadi, known her for films like "Kabhi Kabhi", "Silsila", and "Bazaar", has passed away recently.
